Central Industrial Security Forces are one of the prestigious security forces in the country. The AC designation is called Grade A gazetted officer in the CAPF that is regulated by the Union of Public Service Commission under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
CISF Tradesman recruitment takes place every year hiring individuals for various posts. Every year lakhs of candidates from every part of India with different educational backgrounds apply for different posts in CISF.
The aspirants can get the CISF Tradesman Notification on their emails that provide the candidate information about the examination to apply. The candidates can get full details about the exam on the UPSC website. The UPSC conducts a competitive examination CAPF for the designation of Assistant Commandant.
To be an AC in CISF the candidate has to clear the written test. Afterward, they can appear for physical and medical tests and it should be cleared according to their eligibility criteria. The eligibility for the AC in CISF requires the age of more than 20 and less than 25 along with the student must have completed a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.

The exam is conducted every year by the organization to fill out the vacancies of Assistant Commandant. The candidate who is applying for the designation should clear physical and medical eligibility conditions as directed by the committee.
How to Apply?
The examination is conducted by the UPSC to recruit worthy candidates for the CISF department. Before applying for the CAPF exam candidate must register on them the official website and fill the below-mentioned steps
- The candidate must fill in the information with the proper name, date of birth according to the birth certificate. Register with the valid email id.
- The candidate’s photo should be attested by the state or central government. The scanned copies will be uploaded to fill in the application form of CISF.
- After filling the application form. The candidate has to bring the hard copy of the form to CISF authorities for verification purposes and then it will be transferred to the commission.
- The candidates who are eligible will receive the e-admit card before three weeks of the exam.
Examination Pattern
Every candidate enrolling for Assistant Commandant In CISF has to clear the three examinations. These exams are conducted in three different phases i.e.
Phase I: Written Test.
Phase II: Physical Efficiency and Medical Standard Test.
Phase III: Personal Interview and Personal Ability Test.
Phase I of CISF includes two papers
- Objective Type
- Descriptive Type
Both the papers have 2 hours of duration. The objective type is 250 marks and the descriptive type is 200 marks.
The descriptive type has two parts same as phase I.
- PART A: Essay
- PART B: Comprehension and Precise Writing.
The exam duration of Phase II is 3 hours as the paper is more descriptive. Part A is of 80 marks and B is of 120 marks.
Phase II of the CISF exam in Physical efficiency and medical test. There are multiple rounds in Physical exams that range differently for males and females. The exam includes 100 meters race, 800 meters race, long jump, and shot put
The candidates who clear Phase II tends to appear in III. Phase III includes the personal interview and personality test of 150 marks. The shortlisted candidates will receive the Detailed Application Form in which they can submit their preferences. The interviewer can also ask about the highlights of the syllabus in order to test your knowledge. They will assess the candidate based on their general knowledge, intelligence, and more.
