The TNPSC DEO application process will be entirely online along with the application fee payment. It is advised that before you start your online application process you have all your necessary documents ready for a smooth process. There will be a registration charge which will be Rs. 150/-. There will be an exam fee for the first two stages that are Prelims and mains which will be Rs. 100/- and Rs. 200/- respectively. The mains exam fee will apply only to the candidates that clear the prelims stage. The candidates from the Scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, differently-abled persons with 40% disability, Destitute widows, backward classes, most backward castes, and denotified communities will be exempted from the application fee.

TNPSC DEO Selection Process 2021

The TNPSC DEO exam is held in three stages and each stage has to be cleared by the candidate to be eligible for the next one.

  • Preliminary Stage

This stage will be based on general awareness and will be in the format of the multiple-type questions. It will contain 150 questions based on general knowledge and 50 questions based on mental ability. The entire paper will be of 300 marks.

  • Mains exam

The stage will be divided into three papers. Paper 2 will test the candidate’s general awareness and will be of descriptive question types. Paper 2, will also be descriptive and will test the candidate’s current affairs and general knowledge. Paper 3 will be of objective type and will be based on the course of the B.Ed degree. Each of these papers will be of 300 marks.

  • The interview stage will be an oral exam of 120 marks.
